Meet Miss Ash! ~
This session was sooo exciting! I absolutely love photographing in the country-- The country is where I feel most inspired. (I'm a country girl at heart!)
After many years of not singing, Ash has decided to ignite her passion for singing & writing music. These photos were taken for her country music portfolio! Isn't she just gorgeous?! Her voice & look reminds me of Shania Twain... Who doesn't love a little Shania in their life? (hehe) I can't wait to see Ashley succeed in the music industry...You go girl!!

Fall has arrived {Tucson Photographer, Vail Photographer, Marana Photographer, Benson Photographer}

What is your favorite season?
Over here at Katherine Nissley Photography the favorite season in Fall. Two major memories that make my heart skip a beat when I think of this season: My husband and I were married in the Fall and it was a very Fall wedding- We had floral arrangements in Pumpkins, the colors were burgundy, cream, and warm oranges. We had a pianist sing "When a Man Loves a Woman" at the ceremony with candles burning. Our reception was in a vintage barn with a fire burning & twinkle lights (I LOVE those memories)...Another major mile stone in my life that occurred in the Fall was our first child was born. We brought her home all swaddled in warm blankies. I remember spending every waking moment snuggling her, watching sappy movies & lounging by our fire place (These two events were in Portland, Oregon...We never touch our fire place in Tucson! haha!)
I absolutely adore all the Autumn colors. And, naturally, I like photographing the Autumn colors even more than I like looking at them! :) I feel very inspired this time of year! My schedule is pretty much booked through mid November- and I'm VERY excited to spend this time with each one of my clients, photographing memories that will last a life time!

Miss K-- Practice Model

Meet "Miss K"-- This is a photo from the mentor session I participated in a few weeks ago. It was still Monsoon season in Tucson. The beginning of the day was beautiful and sunny & as the day rolled on; so did the black clouds, thunder & lightning. We decided to give it a whirl anyway! This photo was taken in very low lighting and I struggled a little to get the 'perfect' settings. Interestingly enough, I do enjoy this photo! "Miss K" was just a fabulous model! And, I learned a lot from having to shoot in such unpredictable weather! :)

Woohoo! K.Nissley's FIRST blog!

I'm very excited to be starting a blog for my photography business! I am an on site- natural light, photographer, servicing Tucson, Arizona & surrounding areas. I am currently in the process of trying to build a clientele in Tucson. My family & I moved to Tucson about a year & half ago. I don't know anyone here, so establishing a business has been a little difficult.
